Global is a women-owned public transportation consulting firm founded in May 1991 in Tucson, Arizona. Janette M. Hunter, CFE, CPA conceptualized Global during the Karl Eller Center’s Entrepreneurship Program at The University of Arizona.

Upon earning her MBA, Janette immediately brought her leadership, executive drive and proven analytical skills to Global’s operations and embarked on an interesting array of consulting projects ranging from FTA Triennial Reviews and Component Cost Analysis to FTA Buy America Compliance Audits (Bus and Rail) and Training.

Janette’s progressive approach to challenges can be further showcased as the founder of a private-sector transportation company in Tucson, Arizona. Trax Transportation operated three transportation divisions (Pima County fixed rural route, non-emergency medical, and 24-hour hotel to airport shuttle service).

Enhancing her transportation operational skills is her corporate experience as an industry innovator. She joined the executive teams of companies that transformed operations in three different service industries. Experiencing these industry transformations fuels her drive to be at the forefront of the transit industry’s current megatrend-accelerated technological innovation.

Today, she is applying her unique abilities to transform new technology opportunities into industry applications through her Buy America auditing, research and training venues. She is often requested to conduct customized educational forums on a national and international level and thoroughly enjoys creating insights into Buy America regulations.
